That viral it's actually based on real world technology. Try Googling the words "quiet eye" and a very interesting set of results will pop-up, a Kinesiology Prof. Named Joan Vickers of Calgary university Canada "She has been developing the "Quiet Eye" technique since the early 1980s, in an effort to understand how vision can control and guide the body's movements." this is a direct quote from one article from CNN. Vickers?!! Humm!

Yutani is like all major corporations, looking for information, a competitive edge in tech, and just plain ruthless... just like Weyland Industries.

The teeth analysis is for identification purposes. Like a lot of things in this world and theirs, a person identity could be stolen, corrupted, and misused. I really like the video, this just adds to the atmosphere of Prometheus, and the world that surrounds it.

By the way this technology is not from future though. It is in the progress. For example, our cameras currently can trace the face in focus. So we're on the way closer to this tech. Nice promo I must say.

Well I guess like this they can cover a lot of stuff which usually takes time explaining in movie and is redundant for the storyline. So adding them in promo is good thing.
