so the idea of terraforming has been thrown about a lot but as of yet we don't really know if this means converting an otherwise dead planet into a living one, OR, if the Space Jockeys are finding habitable planets and using the alien eggs to kill all living things so that they can take over

Colonelangus, Ya, it's not discussed much, but I think they are terraforming. You look at that scene with Shaw next to what seems like a geyser. In Red Mars they detonated nuclear explosions in the crust to release water into the atmosphere...

Haven't seen anything to do with terraforming in any of the trailers. I think people have jumped onto this idea since it was a central theme in Aliens and we know Weyland is into that sort of thing. No real evidence of the alien dudes doing terraforming at all.
