What if that Bio-chemical is so powerful it has the ability to weld biological and mechanical things together into 1 living entity. The mural clearly shows David who is a machine merged to a mutant like being, theres also a lot of coincidence in the ship design inside and the flesh of the xenamorph. The pilot engineer seat covers its driver in a mechanical suit so the driver temporarily becomes 1 with the ship. Giger is famed for drawings and creations where biological fleshy beings are merged and hybrid together with machinary and mechanisms. It would make sense that Weyland industries would love to have the dark art secret of Bio-tech creation.

The idea of Bio-mechanoids is not a far off reality either, on earth we have creatures that produce Electricity from there flesh, some ancient lizards could produce flammable chemicals and create electric sparks and breathe fire, we have creatures in the deep sea that produce powerful lighting chemicals in there flesh. The idea that flesh and mechanism could co-exist and be as one is not such a far fetched fanatsy as it sometimes seems.

The alien's torso does seem to stem directly from the 'ribs' of the pilot's chair. Not to mention, its blood is 'battery' acid. Makes sense.

I think we're all expecting bio-mechanical monsters, that's a given. I just want to be somewhat surprised ;)

the only thing that has baffled me so far is when shaw is looking through a tiny glass window and a giant blue serpant/tail hits the glass. It looks to cheesy to be a tail and it doesnt look like that python cream coloured thing, just wonder what that is.

Giger said he was obsessed and horrified with the idea of worms and seeing them move inside of one's arm. I read on another site this quote from giger might have helped inspire characteristics of the aliens in this movie. it is probably not repitilian, since it's an alien. and reptiles are from earth. By the way, what is the name of this ancient earth reptile that could breath fire? Was it a dragon, cause that isn't reality. There are no skeletons of any dragons or dinosaurs i've ever heard of that can do that.

the mural looks metallic and it can "change"...I noticed that the top of the cannisters have a metal that can change shape too....not referring to davids space booger, but the lid of the cannister starts to move and change.....just wondering if anything actually emerges from the mural?? talk about art being realistic.....hmmmm
