i checked out the starmaps earlier on facebook and to my surprise Weyland-Yutani logos all across the bottom of week 6 planet reveal, [url]http://apps.facebook.com/starmap_uk/?ref=ts[/url] A few weeks back i stumbled upon a website that said Weyland-yutani posted on here and the feedback was that it was a fake, it looked shitty and amature and messy in its design. So i thought yep another hoax. But after todays revelation on the starmaps about Weyland-Yutani, i go back to that site and its all been updated and it dont look messy anymore, in fact it looks like someones at a film company marketing department may just be warming up something for us all. Weird thing is click the right mouse button on the webpage to reveal the source code and near the top section it reveals that a person called ASH authored the website, gives some kind of serial number and it says weyland-yutani issue at the end. hmmmm sounds like someones upo to something and im seriously intrigued. if this is real the marketing is fucking insane, i can only imagine the kindd of new style marketing they come up with for the next installment. Its either real and im jealous of the web-designer currentluy assigned the task of living in a fantasy world i crave or its some dude whos hoaxing but i got a feeling if fox catch on he could get a serious payout. all ican say is good luck to him hes doing a better job than these lazy people who have purchased these domains. Interesting mentos, very interesting point i never thought of that. I was thinking maybe another installment but it might be this movie. That would explain the weyland-yutani logo on the star maps, why else would they be there. What if the last 8 mins Ripley has been going on about is not anything to do with a xeno but years after the prometheus mission and its in the offices of Weyland-yutani and they recieve news of a distress call and begin planning for the nostromo. Weve all been thinking the connection is xenos but it might be Weyland-Yutani planning the nostromo trip including ASH.

That leaves the giant question. What happened to peter weyland for his beloved company to have to be merged ? is he even part of it or has he had no say in the merger ? who actually sends them the messageat weyland-yutani, is it realy a distress signal or has someone who was at the prometheus misson informed them every last detail and there now ready to create a deceptive mission involving a crew that are expendable. Whats strange is that the symmatry with this company is the prometheus mission seems to be a crew that are expendable and the Nostomo team are also expendable, all seems dodgy from the prometheus get go, a lot of hidden agendas.

This is all making sense to me now, The marketing on weyland industries is dealing with looking back at peter weyland up to the mission, this weyland-yutani site seems to be at the other end of the movie, its fucking genius.

The W-Y logo has been on the facebook app since the beginning, 6 weeks ago, so we are either waiting for some new twist or it is yet another poorly made piece (the facebook campaign for Prometheus has always been a bit weak, with very little support to that page and late updates). The W-Y website seems to be fan-made. Why have they put a picture from Guy Pearce's portfolio from some time ago rather than a picture of Peter Weyland, otherwise?

Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born. Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.

True very true, but then if you look at the writing under the photo it says when peter was 25 guy pearce in prometheus and his modern photos he looks like a guy in his 40's if that website is making a reference to peter when he was 25 they would have to use a younger shot of guy to give it authenticity. Ive seen it happen in big films where a pic of that actor when the where not famous was used to show them as younger.

The thing i keep thinking is, that website is looking back and championing the past achievements, its like when you celebrate someone after they have died or are gone. Im realy interested, im 70/30 in favour this is real and i hope it reveals something big.

Not to (chest) burst anyone's bubble but that site was just registered on 4/14/2012 by an individual from great Britain. The other 2 sites projectprometheus.com and weylandindustries.com are both registered by Markmonitor (domain brand protection company) and hosted on 20th century fox servers at foxfilm.com. Evidence points to hoax .
