My take so far is they go to the moon of the planet that is LV-426 (Official information regarding the film) On board Weyland the old dead man is brought back to life and is in a wheelchair and very frail. The find the mountain that contains the temple and the labratory of Bio-engineers, this is like an inner sanctuary where each vessal of Bio-life is placed for a period of time in a kind of religous cerimony like the church does with holy blessed water. David take one of the containers for research and takes it back to begin investigating, this is deemed an act of mass sacrilige to this race of beings and is not tolerated. The crew begin to investigate and tamper and realise that they are in a temple that has been set up to start the beggining species of an entire planet, various creatures, goop and bacteria are slowly growing that are the origins of an entire planets lifeforms, this planet will be LV-426 (they are on its moon so they are establishing Lv-426 lifeforms from its moon). Everytime the engineers begin life on a new planet they first go through a religous routine of placing bio-tech fluid in canisters in a huge sanctuary almost as a sign that they are the beginings of this planets life so that many years later when inteligent life has developed enough they will go to the local moon and find that temple and know that these beings are the origin of its life. There are only ever 3 engineers involved per planetary life creation routine, 1 is a sacrifice, the other a pilot the other just a spare hand to help in the sacrifice and process. whenever 1 planets is chosen to start new life on its the same routine all the time, 3 engineers, the lab, the temple and 1 of them must be the sacrificial lamb. Weyland becomes immortal but at what cost? i think he will be in this film what the jockey was in alien, he will leave a giant question, where did he go, what has he become. David destroys the engineers, sabotaging them, they punish the humans on the mission but Davis is not human he is a creation of men but his intelligence leads him to sabotage and work a plot against the engineers. Vickers escapes, Weyland goes missing, Shaw escapes. everyone else including David is destroyed. Hence Weyland never issuing David 9 in honour of David 8, instead they create Ash 1. No tech makes it back to earth for the company, but the company through Vickers report are aware of something big happening out in space, Weyland who is missing still comunicates with the Weyland company and leaves them with details that there is powerful life headed for LV-426, weyland begin a false mining mission later on that will include an ASH android and its intent is to get to LV-426. so who is in thye pilot seat? it is an engineer who has been on purposly contaminated by David with some of the Bacterial chemical they create in there labs. David throughout his investigations has learned enough info about the substance to know how it worls and how it infects, he uses it against the engineer. The engineers ship contains a sealed cargo that no one in the film ever stumbles upon because they are always in thye mountain temple and lab, the cargo is pre created xenamorph eggs that have been prepared to be launched into LV-246 to clean up the planet before the engineers release the metal canisters of lifeforms that will develop that planets entire Life, plant life, amphibians, mammels everything. On the engineers journey to LV-426 to clean up the planet by placing xenamorph eggs there the pilot makes an emergancy decision to land, he realises David has infected him, he creates the distress signal alarm and dies from internal bleeding, from his side comes a xenamorph/engineer hybrid that escapes into the hostile terrain of LV-426 inside the ship is a cargo of xenamorph eggs waiting to be found. the big questions at the end, Wheres Peter Weyland now that hes immortal ? and where do the engineers come from? On earth without Peter around, the board merge with rival Yutani to become Weyland-Yutani, they now have one goal in mind and that is to find the lifeforms that where witnessed in the reports handed back to them by Vickers, Shaw and Davids Mainframe Database connection with Muther.

PROMETHEUS 2: PLOTLINE Peter Weyland is now an engineer, he is God like, immortal and he is out there plotting to take back his empire on Earth and control the entire planet and Universe. A Team of space explorers go into deep space to find peter weyland and his engineers and there gods in the biggest space quest of all time, what they find is shocking, Weyland is like saten he is part of a fallen Bio-tech race and hes planning on killing all of humanity beneath him and destroying the ancient order of Gods above him, can mankind fight the devil, can mankind fight The Star Beast. Peter Weylands arrogant quote rings out : I am the God now

The movie is going to take place on LV-223 not LV-426... In case you should have missed that :)

Very very nice ideas.... But yes from what we know about the movie, the links with Prometheus the Cast list clues etc... I dont think its the case. SPOILERS....... WELL THEORY AND CLUES - - - - 1) I think LV426 is Baron, they would not need to use the Xeno to clean up a Baron world.... but it makes perfect place to Quarantine a lifeform that needs Hosts to re-produce. 2) There are a lot of dead Engineers, they seem in the one Hologram/Ghost Scene to be either running away from something or trying to escape to something. I feel the Engineers are a all but dead race "a king has his reign then he dies" 3) The Derelict has 4 sarcophagus (the one in Alien does not) thus i think different ship, also 3 of said sarcophagus have holes in that dont look uniform, maybe something burned out of them? 4) I think we would only see one Engineer alive in this movie, hence Cast of Last Engineer, he is the Blue Meanie he is not pleased with our pressence, maybe because we steal his fire who know. I think these Engineers are like Gods but he wants to become GOD and thus tries to kill off his brothers. 5) The idea of 3 Engineers and one who has to sacrefice i dont get, yes a sacrefice may had been made, but in ritual sacrefices often the sacrefice does not want to be killed they have no choice. Now if there is 3 Engineers and one is Sacreficed for each world then that leaves 2, so you would only be able in that theory two seed two worlds.... also there are plenty of dead Engineers around thus more than 3 on that planet orginally. 6) I dont think the Derelict on LV426 and the Xeno are in the same timeframe as this movie, the event of that movie would have happend before this movie not after, the Derelict i think was taking every Xeno Egg left off LV223, and i think the Xeno played a part in the downfall of the Engineers. Is that a creation gone wrong then quarantined, or is it like that but the agend of one nasty mad Engineer. 7) Yes the Prometheus Myth will play a massive part, SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER..... There are good solid clues that Weyland in on Promethus, the movie hints at two Andriods, it hints at a connection with Blade Runner. Weyland is dieing (again a king has his reign) David is his perfect Son, he just does not have a soul... thus he is not quite human, but his body is imortal to a degree. Weyland would want to become God, he would want to become imortal. If he can use the Engineers Secret Fire with another Andriod Host Body on Prometheus he could create something more real, something like the Blade Runner Replicants. Only how does Weyland get his brain and his soul into that Host Body? Is that where the Synapse Reestablisher comes from? END SPOILER 8) This movie has so much going for it, they do not want to cover the Xeno, only briefly explain its orgins or how it got to LV426. Why would Ridley make a good story and plot that eventually leads to the creation of a new Organism and thats Shaws Baby simply for this to then become the Proto Xeno and Xeno mother, a bit of waste of a new idea for someone who wants to explore new ideas and steer away from the Xeno. Any sequel would not lead to Alien or Xenos, they are covered in the Alien Franchise, i also dont think the Engineers survive after this movie the one in Alien would either be the last or the 2nd from last and the one in this movie the last. SPOILER THEORY AGAIN Maybe Weyland becomes the new God/Engineer not saying he is the Big Guy or grows to 9ft. But maybe his plans to be imortal turn him into a Engineer, maybe he becomes like a Replicant but then one who has the secret of the fire..... but then how would that tie in with Alien as far as Weyland Corp in that movie? I think Weylands plans are stopped or they backfire.... maybe a massive CurveBall could Weyland become the first Xeno and Ridleys hints are all Red Herrings to throw us off, something unexpected... remember the Lost Writter is on board. This is good idea, but i am not sure thats the case at all. END SPOILER AGAIN Thus maybe no one survives or just a few that can be covered in Prometheus 2. I think that somehow word gets back to Earth about a potential Organism or Technologies that Prometheus Mission found, some hint sent back to Earth. However maybe between Prometheus and Alien they survivors dont get to tell their tale or do they. I would suspect that when they set off to go back, between Prometheus and Alien, LV223 is no more, its gone destroyed. But they detect a signal from LV426 and thus know that something connnected with the Engineers Tech is on that planet and hence the secret missions in Alien and Aliens to bring back what ever was left.
