Although, such a scenario would also play out like an irony of ironies as far as Ripley is concerned. Here is a supposed archytype man that is 'potentially' o.k. 'potentially' Ripleys' relative in some way shape or form and yet he or rather his ehtics have been trying to destroy 'those' whom should, in an ideal world, mean a great deal to him. It would also shed light, true light upon just what sort of a merciless man and family liniage Ripley would be a part of, he is so cold and calculating that his own 'grandaughter' is expendable. I'm not sure whetther or not that will transpire but giving the hypothosis its fair hearing, I can see the internal logic to the suggestion and so for those reasons I was prepared to entertain a response to your suggestion Xeno, whether it actually happens remains to be seen...

I can also confirm that Janek is Parker's father and Apone's great-grandfather. His unseen brother is instead related to Dillon and Pvt Frost.

It also gives an irony of ironies back in favor to Ripleys corner, as a sort of pay back, she blows up the Nostromo, Blows Up the atmospheric processors on Ancheron/LV-426 and further goes to the Alien 3 scenario so in the end Ripley resets the balance of sorts to the 'family' skeletons in the closet... I'm not sure if any of this will actually happen, here it is just wild and fun speculation to add some commentry to and dare to entertain just a smidgen.

If this is true then my question would be "if Ripley comes from such a wealthy family why then is she only a pilot as opposed to an executive role of some sort?" You know some one of Peter Weyland's stature would make sure to groom family in important roles in his company. You see it all the time in large family owned businesses It seems a little cliche to me for RS to tie it together like that if in fact he has...it just doesn't sound too realistic story wise/continuity wise..

They could play on the family fued thing, born out of wed lock, out of sight, out of mind but there has to be a whole plothera of justifications which are all probably too long-winded to extrapolate upon and take the screen-time to explain it all! Best to go a different avenue of story telling here I think. It's wise for the franchise.
