Thoughts?

It could be that the Space Jockies originally 'came across' the original signal/distress signal/warning as being recodnised as one of their 'fallen' fellow comrads/brothers in that particular sector. They discover that he/she/it has been lying here 'dormant' for perhaps centuries and thus decide to set-up the 'research station' that are the 'Temple Mount' complex/site that we see stretching out into the distance like something out of Close Encounters at the end with the landing area or even the Plains of Nasca in the way those lines look like in the 'sand' on the planetoid/LV-426.

they could always go in 3's, the SJ's. and one could be used to carry/host a new species to a new planet, hence always being a sacrifice SJ. the one on LV426 might have, somehow, realized that the species he was carrying was a mistake, and set down just after take off, if he did in fact leave from LV223.
i still think that there is a very good possibility that the ship on LV426 is there before what happens in Prometheus. i think we'll see some mission "like" the one the SJ from Alien went on, and we'll realize that when we see it.

I feel like a dog chasing my tail on this subject...lol. I cannot figure these sj's out. Because they are so flawed as a species, I wonder if they represent the greek prometheus....
and I wonder if they have stolen the proverbial fire from the gods-whoever they may be (I think they are in the saucer shaped ship in the trailer, imho).....
because I mean, come on, we havent seen one of their ships that can successfully fly anywhere- i.e. the derelict, and the one that gets rammed in the trailer...it seems they always have a consequence for their actions...
just like the sj in the derelict- if it was going to drop that payload of eggs on a planet, maybe ours, then look what happens to it- looks like a facehugger had his way with em....idk, crashed ships, dead sj- not that advanced to me....
I just feel that if RS stays true to his form, we will be left with another mystery like we were with the sj in alien, we may get a glimpse of a another race...then we'll be left wondering "who are they?"
sorry so wordy...whew

Could it be that the gene pool of the Engineers is getting poorer and pooer. They experiment and create something that goes wrong. The sacrifice Engineer could be the one that lands on LV426 after the experiment goes wrong. And perhaps when the Engineers discover the humans can resurrect his species this is why he plans to travel to Earth..... the only thing is the creature they created also infects / attacks the humans. So the humans have to stop the Engineers and survive the Progenitor to the Xeno.....

The Sacrefice Engineer is played by a average height actor, he is whos face they used on the Statue, his face is cast for masks that the 7ft actors wear and when in close ups they use the smaller 5ft10 actor.
I have gone over this a number of times...
This Actor apears in the Water Fall Scene, now he may also be the guy in the Derelict on LV426 scene... (well he is everywhere because the idea is they are all near enough alike in looks).
To me the Sacrefice Engineer may soley refer to the Water Fall Scene. Which could mean he Sacreficed himself to create us?
Or it could be he is Sacreficed to create the Xeno, or to use as a Host (he could in effect play 3 hosts as it would maybe show close ups if they cover the actual getting Face Hugged).
Or it could be he flies the Ship to LV426, now is that in a action to protect and to quarantine the Xeno Eggs.... or maybe a Guy who goes out to deliver them to some destination to wipe out life and his sacrefice is because he is on a mission he may not return from.
We have to rember that Sacrefice does not mean a Hero...
Virgins where Sacreficed in old times, Sheeps are still today as well as other animals. Do you think any of those wanted to be killed or had any say in the matter.
