Some important questions (spoilers)

Hey man This should probably be in the spoiler section. Just saying! :)

Hi! SPOILER! So you don't read this if you don't see the movie. Can anyone tell me what exactly happened in the open scene in the film? I think so is that completly meaningless. Why did that the engeneer what he did? The other thing. Why David poisoned Holloway? Did he testing the materia?

I think the guy at the start was drinking DNA or the essence of life in the gel, knowing that he would die. He may have been a rogue/hippy alien not in complete agreement with the policy of his leaders and he knew that drinking the stuff would cause an issue. Or perhaps he drank it on Earth, on the iskle of skye and in turn created our human race. Perhaps engineers did this all over earth which would answer the question of why wall painitng etc were found all over earth that depicted the same story. Perhapns the water he contaminated was the water running through the Dome and into the ship. That contaminated water mixed with the store room of vials when the normal humans let the atmosphere into the tomb which in turn created the Alien worm thing that attacked the geologist and in turn infected the humans and the ship. There are questions unsanswered when you come out of the movie but try not to think too much about it and where there are questions you should create your own answers. Its just a movie after all and a very good one I thought. I was entertanined in an Imax here in Australia. David poisoned Holloway because of the human v cyborg social issues and David had the power in his hands to control the human life.

I think the open scene the engineer was drinking same liquid that contains the vials. I don't think so that guy it has to be a rebel. So here a full developed species and they had the only one way comes life to Earth is sacraficing herself? I don't think so but maybe Ridley's screenwriters does. I would like read the story in an official book :)
