The Magellan?

Magellan is just an urban legend like the Loch Ness monster, the rake and the men in black.

There were folks on here a month or so ago all talking about the Magellan, and I felt really out of the loop about a second ship. Did it ever amount to anything concrete that we know of? I mean they even had a name for the ship and sounded pretty convinced there was one....

It all started as there was a set build of a spacecraft door which on the side of was written 'Magellan mess hall'

Please excuse my lapse in memory but I vaguely recall Magellan was the escape module or shuttle from the leaked plot summary or script. Take care.

It's also thought that they might have written that on set pieces to keep people from knowing it was the Prometheus set.

probably or is the name of the escape little ship ( not the escape pod ) ...or is just the name of the mess hall ( more probably since a so little ship hardly can have a mess hall )!!

@Thadus12: Yeah, that's the one. I'm not sure about it being so small, it could have 2, possibly 3 decks (or maybe 2.5 like in 'Being John Malkovich'?). Didn't we see a shot where Shaw is jumping out of the side of it after it had crashed or force landed? This life pod is docked to the back of the Prometheus and in comparison still seems fairly large, don't you think?

Perhaps Magellan is to the exclusion of all else the escape shuttlecraft ? Wish I had more to embellish or elaborate on. Maybe some of the heavyweight scholars can add insight ? Take care everyone.

The Person be that Shaw or Vickers seems to be taking something with them! Shaws Baby? The Urn (fire) that was stolen from the Engineer..... i dont think giving back what we stole is going to change his mind lol.
