The Hammerpede - not the cobra-thing?

Unless it is a totally different creature to the cobralien, the slithering grey thing we see dashing into someone's suit-sleeve seemingly has no legs. Most of us may have assumed that snippet of the arm-slitherer immediately follows the cobra arm-grab bit. Pede is the Latin word for feet or legs is it not? Millipede - multiple legs/feet. The Hammerpede may be a different and bigger monstrosity altogether - with a hammer head. The Alien has a hammer head of sorts. Will this be a tenuous connection to the morphology of the original?
