Sorry if someone already did this but... Intrigued about the actual significance of the "Prometheus" soundtrack titles to the movie plot, I gave a look to the "Alien" soundtrack. Actually there are two "Alien" soundtracks: the first ("original track listing") is the soundtrack launched with the movie, the second ("Complete edition track listing") was lauchend years later. The titles of the original track are not much revealing of the whole story, but those of the complete track, specially the first CD, are. My conclusion is that if the recently released score titles from Prometheus have the same relationship to the plot than the CD 1 of the complete soundtrack to Alien plot, we are in the dark, because the titles only make sense if you already know the plot, but are pretty enigmatic if you´re a non-initiated. What do you think? Yes, you're right and the titles of the cues on the forthcoming Streitenfeld score likely summarise the plot's modules in a cryptic, mixed-up manner. I don't have great hopes for the score, the composer's name meaning little to me other than as a Scott underling, and more generally there being so little memorable film music from Hollywood in such a long time (ditto the films themselves). I thought Goldsmith's score was great though he didn't hold it in much regard himself according to the small sidebar that is all this major element of 'Alien' gets in the supposedly-last-word-on-subject 'Vault' book. Ditto the sound-design (though at least Scott gives this its due in his DVD commentary).
