juggernaut/disk shaped ship.

Juggernaut appears to be the bomber class, the saucer must have another purpose. maybe terraforming or planetary seeding.

I have been thinking about this and believe they could be different beings altogether. But who knows...we shall find out soon enough.

Thats what i think IrishAndroid1 @Myrddin365 RS has said in the alien featurette that the ship was a bomber if i remember clearly with cargo on bored xenomorphs ect so thats the "spacejockys" well thats what we call the big guy in the chair :P Is it possible then that the spacejocky we know is like the army ant bare with me lol protecting the hive sort of thing, Then you have the smaller ants who build the nest maybe like "ENGENEERS" maybe they are 2 different races that has when to war or something.. this is just my opinion but the spacejocky race in some ways seem stupid! I remember reading on this website that a french magazine not sure what one. Said that a spacejocky was chaseing one of the Prometheus crew slipped and got its head chopd off in the door n thats when we see the spacejocky helmet in the trailer . This dosent seem like gods dose it? Yes the spacejockys have technologys beyond anything that human eyes have seen! Like the space map room ect But who said that they are the ones who created the technology. maybe my imagination is runing away from me lol

POSSIBLE SPOILER I googled prometheus spoilers the other day and ran across a comment that was supposedly made by a person who worked on the film. He had revealed that the ship actually was taking off in that shot and that a crater was left and filling up with water. Take it with a grain of salt. As much as everyone is being tight lipped it may just be nonsense.

seanb....that is precisely my point. i really believe they are two separate species. For the same reason you mentioned. Why create life on Earth only with the want to destroy it later?

Anyway, I think this is all happening on Earth, and is a story being told

Its possible it was the Bio-Engineers/SJ's technology 'of the time' all those tens of thosands of years ago - hundreds of thousands even! Maybe bordering on a million! Man/Mankind/Humans/ Human Kind have been around on Earth, if you follow the scietific form of educated reasoning as I like to do, for around over a good million or two so years - modern Cro-Manyon Man that is. Relatively speaking, so the 'First Comers' I guess is a good a term as any had a different sort of technology. Fast-forwards to the future setting now with that of Prometheus and the likes of Alien and the Bio-Engineers/SJ's technology (if it WAS them upon Earth all those millenia + years ago) then IT as THEY have just simply evolved a bit more themselves. They have moulded and adapted new and interesting shapes, forms and configurations to suit new and improved methods of inter-spacial flight. That scenario, if true, makes perfect sense to me. However, I am with Seanb1 888 on this one, I would equally like 'THEM' (First Comers) to perhaps be yet of ANOTHER alien race thus going with the age-old-addage: "And so the plot THICKENS!" Because if they are of a RIVAL race to that of the Bio-Engineers/ SJ's then it would add credence to the idea that some sort of interplanetary/inter-species conflict/war/cold-war was in progress during those ancient times and 'We' as a civilization unto ourselves we're then and are perhaps still NOW, caught-up in the middle of it all!!! SOUNDS COOL MAN!!!!!

The time it would take also to travel at near the speed of light to get any where say the Zeta Reticuli System (binaries 1 and 2) then the time it would take to travel there at near the speed of light, with radical alien technologies at hand, the theory can also be extrapolated upon in reverse. The escence and shp-hull configuration should not really have changed all that much if the distance to the Zeta Reticuli System (if indeed that is where they were inteded to go) should have been halved by the actions of using a wormhole or some sort of temporal inter-spacial travelling system hard 'wired' within the 'mechanics' of the so called 'Fisrt Comers' saucer shaped Space Craft. It would be as by comparison: "six months out and six months back" yet 'we all' have aged tens of thousands of years where as to the 'space travelllers' a semingly and relatively short duration out so therefore why arn't their ships of the 'Horn' shape unless there is some sort of heirarichal, political/utilitarian system in place here and thus that is a window into the societal mind set of the Bio-Engineers/Sj's themselves. A cast system if you will.
