lol is it bad or nasty of me to offer that I just saw the commercial for the game the graphics looked really really sub par in it ? Hope it was just the Commercial that did not do the game justice cause it looked like it was thrown together very quickly and with little attention to how bad some of the sprites work was looking in it. I reckon you'd like one call Amnesia Spart. Set in a dark spooky castle, you have amnesia when you wake up and have to search the castle for clues and you actually can't kill any of the monsters in it, also if you use light the monsters can find you easier ;-)

I've actually played Amnesia. I honestly could not beat it because it was that scary... very well made game and amazing concept!

Got to play the beta for D3 a few months back and was not impressed at all. The graphics are only so-so, but in it's defense the gameplay is exactly like the first two games. The engine has obviously been overhauled a bit and it's not exactly bad, but it's pretty much the same experience as D2 and as such could have been released years ago. That having been said, I'll probably play it when Steam has it on sale for $4.99.

i'm so yealous....i have to upgrade my old video card before i attempt to even play D3....i never played the first two but I know i will love it..... I was literally obsessed with Titan Quest and Sacred 1 & 2.....

So how is the game? I have been skeptical, and planned not to buy it until I heard from people who were palying it. It just seemed like an updated version of the old ones, and nothing new or exciting added. If this is the case, I'm not interested...just on the principle that it doesn't take 10 years to release a game that doesn't have major improvements (other than graphics)...regardless of how ood the other ones were, and I didn't like 2 that much anyway.

Maybe I'm too low (level 9), but with all the physics that was meant to be in this game, I haven't seen a big use for it yet. There are booby traps but they are triggered by levers and it's hard to predict how big a mob-pile is going to be as a ranged character. Barbs will probably have a lot more fun with traps. Beyond that, it's mostly hack n' slash with a new story. I'm liking the good, solid, single player in this one. Diablo II had much bigger gear gaps and it was unusual having to return to bosses and mobs you just killed when you weren't playing with others. With the new artisan character, I can almost work around that. The stats he gives on crafted items are random, but they are far cheaper to keep rebuilding assuming his training costs don't kill you in the long run... And I'm glad to see Blizzard willing to reform the UI and make it more finger-friendly. I wish they'd do the same for WoW.
