Something tells me that we're not going to get a final, clear "who/what/when/where/why and how" about the origins of the xenomorphs, or how the derelict wound up on LV-426. Just a hunch.
I agree, the cosmos will continue to present realities that are so alien (in ability to relate) to us that we would run in the opposite direction in a heartbeat. This is what makes the Alien universe such a fantastic, and intriguing construct.
