wishful thinking. we should wait before forming such theories because sequel is going to be on the space jockies origin so ...

Well i am not sure how much this movie will cover the Engineer/Space Jockeys.... We just dont know untill we see the movie, and we dont know what will happen for a sequel as it depends on the end of the movie and what happens. I mean the end may show no Engineers left at all... well in the sence of those on LV223 and the Star Sytem Zeta Reticuli. If so if a Prometheus 2 wants to vistit them it has to base itself on a time period prior to Prometheus and maybe even further back... unless Ridley goes for the route that this system is not the only one they have bases and thus there are more out there in the Galaxy. If the movie ends with some kind of knew Creature on the run, maybe this creature could lead to what leads to the Xeno and thus Proto Xeno, thus a Prometheus 2 could be a more true prequel to Alien. If its a new different creature they vist and expand upon then thats potentially going to cause canon issues with Alien, unless they are going non canon or going the reboot route! We just dont know....

As far as the relation to us in the movie... Well it apears they may have visted Earth before and interacted with mankind in the past.... for some reason they stopped comming back. Or if it was one left begind for some reason he died off years ago. For some reason it apears there are not many if only one of their kind left on LV223 and indeed maybe in any near system to us. As for more details we just dont know, i mean there could be a twist. I have heard things from they are imposters and never created us or even visited us.... now maybe thats true but one of them did, if not was the cave paintings etc pure coinsidence? I have also heard the theory that we created them. Another that they are just ancient and evolved mankind, others that they was created by a even more greater being and God. We just dont know for sure, hopefully we will get our answers... But maybe at the end of the movie we will get no Answers to Alien or the Derelict on LV 426 and Eggs, and then be left with even more unanswered questions regarding the Engineers and their orgins...

This thread is largely based on the Sci-Fi cliche that all people belonging to a race are either good or evil and all speak the same language and have the same culture. Just like how planets in Star Wars all have one topographic feature for the entire planet. If I was to make this movie, I might show that not all Engineers are the same.

if it´s a scientific-research facility there is no need to be many engineers, maybe this is a small part of huge culture that is not from that system at all like in the alien universe we´ve colonies but we´re not native of those worlds. What i want to say is maybe we´ve to drop the last remaining engineers theory.
