MemberOvomorphMay-18-2012 1:19 AMThe Malaysian Poster displaying the crash/clash between the Prometheus and Engineer ship leads to the central idea that the surviving crew is forced to take refuge in the Temples. Given that we've already seen that there are multiple temples in a row surrounded by massive mountains, I think it possible that Ridley has much more to show than what we've been exposed to from what's been released already. I think it possible that the second half of the film will unfold in what the survivors further discover -- think At the Mountains of Madness and how giant abandoned cities were discovered. Perhaps the temples are only launch sites for engineers.

MemberOvomorphMay-18-2012 3:17 AMIts a possibility, but i seriously doubt its gonna happen not in the run time of this film to fit ALL the build up and scenes and then what your saying too you would need another hour on top or the film will be too rushed as it may well already be with no real answers or explanations...Possibley leading to another film on the horizon..

MemberOvomorphMay-18-2012 4:11 AMThis would be great but I´m with @Stay Frosty. Scott prefers a more slow pace. Think of Alien, it has basically only four movements: awakening, landing, hunt of the xeno, confrontation in the scape module. I think that after at least two or three expeditions to the temples and the final resolve with the destruction of the juggernaut there would be little space for this. I think that in the end Shaw and maybe Vickers will take off in the scape module, send a message to Weyland Corp and go hypersleep awaiting for rescue.

MemberOvomorphMay-18-2012 7:52 AMYeah...this sounds VERY cool, but the run time just doesn't allow for it to develop properly, IMO of coruse.

MemberOvomorphJan-22-2013 3:08 PMAn idea presented in this thread has some merit. namely cities in the surrounding mountains with the Pyramids being lauch sites.
Brushing away the crew not finding any cities, the idea that there was a base outside the collection of pyramids set up scenes where everything that happens to our Crew is watched recorded and analyzed.
I would not discount the playing of the holograms and allowing David to activate the Orrery in all it's glory.
The massive project of design, building and staffing of the pryamid installation cannot be easily explaind to be abandoned...or forgotten.
Being above ground/mountain locations has a tactical advantage to see more clearly and communicate off world to the next level of the storyline.
The puzzlement to me was the destruction of the Juggernaut and why that was allowed to happen.

I believe the mention of 'hard spots' and 'metal' during the landing refer to the pyramids. Other than that, no radio or heat sources. The pyramids are 'it'.
