spoiler...........................
He has said that the spacecobra isnt what it seems but part of something else like a arm. And the facehugger inserts more than one lifeform into the host at one time, Also he says that the last 8mins of the film will not tie into the original film but will have all us fanboys happy and the door will be open to a prometheus 2 if true seems like alot of questions will not be answered. Still keeping a open mind though

it better tie in to alien otherwise it would be very dissapointing to all alien fans
we will have to wait and see

I say Shaw will take off in a Juggernaut ship.

well if shaw survives where the hell dose she go. she would be stranded there :S still think david has got something to do with it or even wayland, way i see it if i was a sj and i was pissed off i would take out the humans on my planit 1st before flying to earth? so my guess is one of the crew is flying the juggernaut?

It is turning out to be movie like the "The thing". Not in terms of storyplot but more in terms of graphics and pace.

i thot the pace was fine in the thing bit slow at the start rite enough but a really good film in my opinion, Donno why they made a remake tbh the original was just fine!
May 18, 2012
The last the Thing was a prequel, not a remake :)
But i agree, the first was better, and i am Norwegian... Was fun listening to genuine Norwegian language in an American horror movie tho, had a blast watching it :D
I do think this movie will be less claustrophobic than Alien and more hectic and nasty/horrific as the Thing, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing.
May 18, 2012
Which original? The original The Thing was made in the 50s, it's only had one remake and that was the John carpenter one.
May 18, 2012
I am not talking about prequel or the stuff but i am comparing graphics and the spoiler type of stuff. It is indeed good and I am stunned with the graphics because it is way better than the original.
It's the pace of prometheus in the movie clips that annoyed me. If the movie is very fast like that i wonder if it will fit my taste :/

Hmm, agree. otherwise 2 hour movie with such fast pace will have both prometheus 1 and 2 story in it lol.

@ Winwood
Oh you have to watch the new Thing....generally referred to as "The Thing 2011"..... the original one was slightly better...a bit more horrific than the new one...the new one is ofcause a prequel....it flows directly into the John Carpenter version......definitely worth watching...

@ Sky - if the soundtrack is anyting to go by, sounds like theres a lot of dark & moody stuff going on so I don't think we're in for an action-packed summer popcorn Michael "blow shit up" Bay extravaganza. The soundtrack is very organic and uncomfortable & very few tracks sound like they leave much room for hope, except maybe the two that were done by Harry Gregson Williams. I like it a lot, can't wait to see how it ties into the film. I will say one thing, there's one track titled "Hello Mommy" that took me by surprise - I was expeciting a piece of music that might accompany a possible dream sequence where Shaw interacts with her mother, but the music is pretty horrifying and the only thing I can imagine now is a confrontation between Shaw and her squid-baby, possibly all grown up? Also there's a track on there titled "Friend From The Past" which is the main theme from Alien - it's very short and I can only imagine that the Space Jockey that was in Alien is seen in Prometheus as this music is played.

@Rick, I think soundtrack in the clips are modified for the spoilers or the promo. I am sure the original film sets the mood before any high note or low note gets into our ears. The reason I felt that uncomfortable because the scene where david opens the urns has to be silent but as per promo, the music was very dramatic. Have to watch the movie now to figure out lol

A lot of the themes in the trailers we've seen so far are not on the soundtrack album. The only clip I've seen so far that has any of the actual soundtrack music in it is the "Prometheus Has Landed" clip.

I've seen all three things, and watched the prequel and the carpenter one in the same weekend, i thought the prequel was great and a lot scarier than the carpenter one. Am not a fanboy, just thought it was a good little movie.

I've a crazy idea, what about waiting to actually see the film before critiquing it's pace and soundtrack.......
