...NO Prometheus trailer, incase anyone was wondering. I know I was disappointed. Saw it at a free screening last night because I'm active duty AF. I wouldn't have seen it if I had to pay, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. It was actually a fun, entertaining movie. Was the plot bad? Yes, but it had some interesting elements...which of course it didn't expand on. Was the acting bad? Yes. Was it cheesy? Yes. Bottom line, it knew what it was, and it was ok with it. It was a good popcorn movie.

TBH, Battleship has very fast pace to my taste. Earlier, my impression was only Micheal bay's movies were too fast. It seems some sci-fi directors are pushing the plots way too fast with CGI to make monies. I too have not seen any trailer during the movie.

I'm not sure if what influence Hasbro had in this movie, but yes...this movie could have been made by ALL of the same people who did Transformers. They were definitely going for that "style". I agree, the pacing wasn't great.

The cam version of Battleship I saw had a laugh track. It is, as OP said, a fun movie. Utterly ridiculous and not good by any stretch of the imagination, but fun.

I didn't mind Battleship really. It's loud, has brilliant graphics and has Brooklyn Decker in it. Yes please! :)
