Well after Tomorrow could be Spoiler Heaven or Armageddon

Just spoke to my mate who passed on that Prometheus is due a pre screening this week. I mentioned it before a week or so ago, after the so called Twitters from some Girl etc etc. This person said he was told this screening would be on Wednesday 22nd May. I did say the other week about this and wondered if he meant 23rd or did he mean Tuesday 22nd.... Well i know found out its 100% 22nd so thats Tomorrow.... I just want to know what the mods and admins stance would be on any topics after tomorrow on this so called REAL SCREENING of the movie. I know your fed up of the SPOILER in ever Title, but how would you want users to tackle this subject because the worst thing we want is posts going in the none spoiler threads by accident that have real spoilers but do not have the Spoiler Title.... So yes this is a Spoiler board but should any posts about or info passed on about the Screening be labled in a way that we know... I would if i was to post anything title my thread... Warning.... Plot details leaked via Screening.... Then in the actual post place a.. - - - - - - - - - - WARNING SPOILER Potential Spoilers below regarding a Advanced Screening.... I have just spoken to someone who was at the Advanced Screening on the 22nd...... blah blah... - - - - - - - - - Again i dont know if this is not true at all, but i guess we will find out as the person who passed that info said that at the time of so called leaked plot by areyouseeingthis.... Fox had no Screeners only unless they was Test ones and for the Production staff and Editors only. He said that there is one due on 22nd May but may be one a few days prior in the USA. We cant say if the many so called USA screener viewers are lying, i have heard from two, one who posted on here. And i never asked them for details. But i think what i was told about the 22nd could well be legit and so i now expect that these boards from Wednesday onwards could start to see more and more spoilers leaked...

Well, I can add a little to this, the person who sends my screening invites here in SF had originally told me the press showing would be on a Wednesday prior to the release (which is a normal screening day here in SF) but I just heard back and they don't know if this is happening now. I emailed her back to find out if it was cancelled or the details were not worked out. I think she might have been a little annoyed when she responded with "calm down, I'll let you know". Although I had the same problem with "Cabin In the Woods". Different release company but were promised and never happened. We'll see.

Well, in the interest of science, can your friend take a picture of his ticket?? If he is worried about people thinking he is legit, that would certainly help him back his claim, no? I many have to stay away from the forums soon though and won't be reading the spoiler, I have seen enough/heard enough that I feel it's time I just sit back and wait until I see it on the big screen. :)

No, there is no danger at all. I am 52 years old, and I saw Alien when it was released (1980 in my country). And I saw Alien again and again, last time the Directors Cut last weekend. I even saw Alien on TV with really bad transmission during a thunder storm, and this actually was one of the best viewings I ever had. The TV screen was full of disturbances, and from outside these deep thunders rolled into my room. All of this scared the shit out of me. It just fit perfectly. My last viewing a few days ago proved that Alien still works. And you know what? I know every detail about this movie. Yet it works. The more I read here, the more I am convinced that it is not the content and maybe not even the visuals which is going to rock us about Prometheus, it is the great art of movie and story that Ridley Scott will give us ordinary, movie-loving folks. UPDATE But yeah, I sure want to read the critics in a few days, and I hope these newspaper guys who get to see it a week earlier will be writing their reviews with trembling hands, cold sweat in the face, and some kind of wiggly twitch near the eyelid.

He is not seeing it, he has just been informed that one is taking place. He is one to not BS me, so he is telling the truth or who ever told him is giving the BS I think it would be reconmended that posters on such spoilers if/when they come out will somehow indicate that in their posts... a main concern is in case someone post a Spoiler in the normal thread and someone then clicks on it and gets spoiled. I understand say if say Thursday someone uploads a Moble/Cell Phone image of say Vickers getting her head bitten off by a Xeno looking creature (thats just example and made up) and if this is posted in the Spoiler section under.. What you make of this image looks like Xeno.... Then yes if someone clicks on that link and gets a spoiler over Vickers death, then at the end of the day, they should avoid the Spoiler Section and they would not have had that spoiler given away.

Oh aparently this screening is for Press, and Critics and the like. When person told me this, i said are you sure... and that some other so called screeners had been shown and that some had posted plots and spoilers on Twitter etc. He then 2 days latter said he spoke to who told him and mentioned that and he said that he cant see how they saw it as their was a showing comming up for US Press and not long after is the European one on the 22nd. So i guess that means who ever saw the suposed LA screening a few days ago may have, but those prior may have lied etc... I guess we shall see, by what kinds of information come out by friday.

@Nostromo Assuming your friend is likewise not telling porkies... Well again at first i was told Wednesday 22nd.... which made me think did they mean Wed 23rd or Tues 22nd.... Then i found out it is aparently 22nd which is well now in UK lol... If we assume that me and you are telling the truth and the people we both heard that from are, then thats a good coinsidence. So yes i would assume that over the next 48 hours there could be a Press Screening.... I do hope if anyone is going to release details they do so in a respectfull fassion... But then again it never goes like that... If i knew somone who saw it and they told me the plot... I could say i have heard the plot and its great but give no details unless via PM, i could pass it on to a few via PM, but they would spill beans on here and then someone else could then transfer parts of that to the normal none spoiler thread. I would not want to know anyway even if i did have way of knowing and i will try and avoid such posts on here.... The two people i spoke to who claimed to had seen the movie, (who now dont reply) i just asked them a few questions in a Yes/No about if the movie has a link to Alien, and in another i asked will the creature have any link to the Xeno in its DNA and to one of them i asked about the Milburn scene. The only spoiler i got was more detail on Milburn scene which we have not even scratched surface on with the Trailers... and about how the movie does not have a direct link to Alien now both people gave a slightly different view on that but thats maybe how one can interpret clues left better. Oh the other was about the Monster which i posted and talked about in Spoilers, then few days after that new TV Spot came out that does conclude to a good degree what was told.

I dont know.... I was told apparently one was due 22nd or 23rd.... I guess the only way is if stuff gets spilled out on the internet... Also i dont think this screening if it happened, or happens today would be where Joe Puplic would be attending.... Usually Press to get to see a pre screener before the movies general release, i am not sure they are shown like over a month prior like the so called areyouseeingthis leak and Twitter Girl one. But i guess having a showing 10 days prior could be normal... also the BBFC detailed information about why Promethues gets it 15 ratting was anounced after that date.... Does that mean that they had to attend that screener or one around that date to see the movie who knows...

@invaderzim42 I would say from some of the leaks today and posts and twitter feeds being close by Fox i guess indeed that there was a screening on that date.
