Avp and transformers are both based on comic books,the whole world knew they ain't gonna be movie classics whereas Ridley knows what he's doing. Michael bay has'nt really got a clue about sci fi,that's why he steals ideas from comic books..don't worry mate,Prometheus is gonna blow.the pair of those.films.out the water.

i agree that transformers and AVP fell off somewhere......but they DID make an awful lot o dosh. Fox only wants $ signs. This is why we will still never find out about the origins of the true Space Jockey.....dont you dare try to fob us off with "it was always the blue men". The original space Jockey was a creature in its own right.....not a blue man in drag!

Very true, its all about making money at the end of the day. I'm watching prometheus in 9 days time but North America gets it a week later. Why you might ask...? Because on the 8th of june all males in europe will be watching the euro 2012. Fox knew this so they pushed it back in Europe so Euro fanboys get to spend their cash on it rather than ignore it for the euro 2012. FACT.

I personally would have swerved the Euro 2012 anyway as England aint winning shit with Roy Hodgeson in charge .lol Ridley wins..

A soft R? Where does RS say that he filmed this to be a PG-13? I'm pretty sure all I can remember him saying is that he filmed the movie the way it should have been and whatever rating it gets, R or PG-13 is what it deserves. Also going on to say he wasn't going to cut a single frame in order to make the film fit a certain rating. This movie will destroy Transformers 3 and especially AvP. Prometheus = league of it's own!

Well it was said that Ridley went to Giger for some ideas on how the Xeno would be if they went backwards in its Evolution.... Lindelof had said the movie is about the Progenitor. The movie also apears to be borrowing a lot from the Orginal Alien Script Star Beast and Mountains of Madness which do have monsters that are Tentacle based..... But Ridley said at the end of the movie we will see Alien DNA and the Creature we would be able to make a good connection to the orginal Xeno. This goes with what i had been told about the creatures look in March and which also went with description that was given to me over last 2 weeks by so called LA screener viewers.... So it would be safe to assume that the final product be that the last stage that creature grows to, or what its next stage may be in terms of Offspring will have a likeness to the orginal 1979 Xeno, it wont be the same but i guess we would be familiar with it. Like how Shaws Baby we can make a reference to it and a Face Hugger and indeed when we first saw that, most would assume it is the Proto Face Hugger (and indeed it still may be to a extent). But i assume that when we see the final end product in this movie we would see more familiarity with it to the orginal 1979 Alien Xeno, than we can see between Shaws Baby and a Face Hugger. If we read the description for the Star Beast Stage 1: Leathery Urn that have lids... Basically a more Organic Looking version of the Urns in Prometheus... Stage 2: Octopus type Organism leaps from within the Urn and attaches to victims face... just as with Face Hugger. Stage 3: Chestburster.... a worm like Organism with a head the size of a fist. Stage 4: Juvenile Organism.... Worm with legs and tentacles. Stage 5: Adult Organism.... over 6ft has 6 legs and is covered in tentacles. Now we know the Orginal Alien Xeno Cycle and what it looks like, and thus i think we would see a Organism that will share looks from the 1979 Xeno. And the creatures described in Star Beast thats my hunch.

You anticipated Transformers 3 even after seeing the first two? Wow. I do remember that I saw them, but can't for the life of me remember what happened. There was probably a plot. Definitely lots of explosions. They all seemed to be pretty consistent in quality.
