Actor Who Plays an "Engineer" reaveals alot about his Role ---Spoiler!

Just as some dude in another thread claims the squid monster heralds the end of "new sci-fi", we have this tid-bit that basically confirms our suspicions regarding the Engineers. This is absolutely awesome. Some big, heady ideas and a great big monster to boot. Absolutely cannot wait now. 9 days...

Hey, that's God Emperor of Dune stuff! (incidentally my favorite book in the series) HELL YEAAAAAAAH!

Well that gives away the Sacrefice part... so he goes and decides to use himself to create life on Earth...... There goes the BS that some so called screeners claimed that the Engineers are not who created but Banana Head Gods ;) And it also looks like it answers that the Engineers did in this Story give this planet life.... but also not that the altered life but that they created it. The full cast list had Danny James as the Actor, he has had a number of small parts in movies etc and is known for Zoot from the Tribe.... So that all added up... But this interview above claims that Daniel Twiss (stage name: Daniel James) plays the Engineer... So i guess i was wrong in my connection i thought i made for who Daniel James was... Oh well..... i think that the Zoot Actor would have fitted better, mind you my two links i would have given to explain Alien without making movie a prequel i feel would be better than what Lindelof's efforts or lack of will be.

I get it now, that huge head is a tribute to him then, now that makes sense. It was because of him they created life and now they remember him for what he has done....pretty cool...

I doubt the engineers would destroy one of their kind just to create something new without being made to do it?

True, I would see these guys as the workers, they are expendable and can be replaced. I mean if I had that power and I knew it was dangerous, I would have someone else do it. I can imagine that room is very dangerous where Shaw and Fifield gets deep throat, it is a rough environment, also, the top of the mountain has a skull shape on top....to me that means, stay away, dangerous! The skull and cross bones for poison, so this planet is a backwater planet, meant to be used as a storage facility, something happens, it is contained there. These Engineers that are there are like the custodians, the caretakers and this planet is their deployment, they are assigned to over look the facility.

"Viscal" is a widely, well known troll, especially lately when it comes to [i]Prometheus[/i]... Even the 'Hitler Discovers Prometheus Is PG-13' video poked fun at him.... True, he does stumble upon some good stuff every now and then [b]BUT[/b] he's bull shitted a lot over the year also.... 'Twitter Girl' didn't mention anything about "melting", etc.... Besides, plenty of other things she said discredited her "viewing" also.... I'll see what I can find to back this up

@ Kronik - I couldn't find anything in the Twitter girl's "leaks" posted by Viscal about the "engineer" drinking something and melting. If I'm wrong, then I definitely want to see a link. I am still skeptical of anything Viscal posts on the web. However, as more and more details are released, this does seem to corroborate certain aspects of Viscal's leaks. On the other hand, Viscal seems like the kind of guy who scours the web looking for bits and pieces of the Prometheus film, and then tries to assemble a storyline based on these fragments.

Who in their right mind is buying this shit? Non disclosure agreements aside, does this guy have a career after this if he is telling it straight? Game plan is still working, JESUS what a con !

@dutch For arguments sake... He's revealing something that occurrs at the very beginning of the movie 9 days before it premiers, what makes you think RS/ Fox wouldn't allow that? The shot of the blue guy changing has been around for months and they told us the engineers create life months ago as well.

Yes, it all fits. This is a supply depot for raw DNA substrates for use else where. The engineers serve several purposes, donation of viable DNA, maintain the depot, and possibly seed other planets when necessary. But who orders these folks around? That is the bigger question now!!!!!!

Harry Knowles from Ain't It Cool News is pretty good about posting any spoilers, and he always cites his sources or provides links or video clips. If it's not mentioned directly by him, and he's the Spoiler King IMO, then I pretty much discount it. Like NateBlitz said, Viscal is a well known troll, and I've seen him on just about every Prometheus forum out there. However, I don't necessarily hold the topic creator at fault for posting this. We've all been duped by certain spoilers at least once in our lives, so I'll give him a pass on this one.

Also, knowing this info is no more spoiler than have watching the 'The Dark Knight' prologues when they came out.... It's how the movie starts.... And Ridley Scott even spoke of the beginning of time sequence....

I gotta say that seems like a great spoiler ... and a great story ... My main concern, with the SJ/Engineers (before all these spoilers) was ... ok so they created us HUMANS but what about all the other creatures on our planet? ... millions of them ... now that 'melting' into the water idea just goes BOOM!!! ... and solves all my questions in one go ... FFS ... I love it ... Also a NOD to Darwin I believe? ... he wasn't to know an Alien planted a seed in the water ... :) ... Maybe Ridders is covering all possible corners of how we got here to please all Religions and theories??? ... Show me some evidence that "Viscal" is a troll. If anything's bullshit that is. Viscal aka NightRiderLoveProvider has been a solid source since I started browsing various Prometheus related sites for info.
