when i first saw the image of the hologram of the Engineer's citadel in one of the screen caps from an earlier trailer, it did call to my mind in a subtle way, of the descending circles of hell from Dante's Inferno not sure if Scott and his team intended to give that impression, or if it was just by chance. interesting theory you suggested here
