Has to be Weyland..... I just cant see the Space Jockey tell him to Try Harder...... I assume that once David goes down to the Temple the 2nd time he dont come back...

Weyland is on life support and she is threatening to cut the cord and kill him. David could communicate to Weyland VIA dream visor that he has and thats how they talk to each other...though still in suspend animation, Weyland is pulling the strings... Try Harder David..i want immortality and some tacos...

Many agendas going on. Holloway has an agenda too; knows Vickers will be a problem, and is sort of on Weyland's side. David was obviously told something other than try harder, and is lying to cover up what he and a partially-mutated Holloway are up to. Because of some events that transpire Holloway and David are forced to do something extreme to look for their answers, and now a cure... Holloway confides in David that he is on their (Weylands) side in wanting the technology, and has revealed his whole thesis on who these beings really are previously to David. And now he's told him a little more about what he is really doing there. However, they also want to find a way to stop what's happening to him, David's been examining him secretly, but they think the only way is if they go back into the temple to seek out some sort of cure as well as their answers.

I did have a hunch that maybe Holloway was infected by what ever David got upto with that Urn.... But then someone who claimed they saw the movie told me, as he told some other on here that Holloway gets infected in the Temple but the whole scene is very different to what the Trailers seem to be pointing to.

Vickers is looking hot as usual!

What is it exactly that Vickers says to him? I miss a bit of the dialogue - she says 'So help me god... somethingsomething - and I will cut it' ?

The new Holloway vignette shows him after being infected. Before, the shit hits the fan, Holloway takes off his helmet and says it is the sweetest tasting air he has ever breathed. Later in the temple, you see Shaw examining his eye with a flashlight while he is sitting down. He also looks in distress at this point. So, it appears Holloway is infected in temple, and David doesn't infect him. The next question is, who infects/impregnates Shaw, . . . David (with the black goo), Holloway, or an Engineer? I'm thinking it is one of the latter two. But what does David do with the goo and the ominous big things have small beginnings statement. I am thinking the goo is the "ancient mix" swallowed by the Sacrificial Engineer at the beginning. He dissolves and becomes the seeds of life.
