Weyland v Yutani

I think the virul stuff is to set up story lines. ie we know what peter weyland is like,we know they can bring people back to life and we know that yutani is watching and in the sidelines. there is going to be multiple storylines going on that we are unaware of . it going to be a great film :)

`it going to be a great film' I've got a nasty feeling this film will be a big disappointment. Everyone is so revved up about it but to be honest, from what I've seen of some of the clips, it's a bit cliched. The Engineers don't look very formidable and the tentacled monster looks rather tacky - straight out of low-budget TV Sci-fi. But the sets do look extraordinary...I'll still be queueing up to see it on June 1st.

No film by rs is ever a dissapointment. Even his bad ones. As a sci fi fan I'm just glad to see something make it to the big screen that is sci fi. Unlike what happens on TV. Save sci fi!

Its sci fi on the big screen! Who cares. Sci fi is becoming endangered. Rs is better than nothing.s o I can't praise him enough for making a big budget film. I just hope the general public support it so we get more. Unike TV that cancels everything. Bring it on. Even if it turns out to be B grade. Which I doubt it will be.

Really? An evil David8 Twin?? Like Data/Lore?? Ugh... Yuntani and Weyland were in a huge lawsuit to gain exclusive rights to the David series. Taken from the Weyland site, corporate timeline: December 12, 2029 "After years of litigation, Weyland wins the David patent lawsuit against the Japanese start-up Yutani Corporation, effectively protecting the investments of both Weyland Industries and its shareholders." When Weyland won the lawsuit they had only made David1, though.

@Trotsky, RS has already proven his SF pedigree with ALIEN and Bladerunner. The man is a visual genius and after seeing what the Fox franchise has descended to, he will resurrect the whole concept. No one knows the material better. It's taken over 30 years but finally we have the best director back on board!
