I too shall be enjoing it at the Imax in Sheffield but I wont post anything on here as it will spoil others viewing from the states!..cannot understand why they cannot release it on the same day so we can all discuss! Ive also grown up with these films and can safely say that this is the most excited I have been for a film since I was a kid!,im in my mid 30s now..My mind is racing with ideas about how things will transpire and im looking forward to see some chilling sights and the fate of each character! :) Roll on next week!!

I'm a bit of a newbie here too, and I agree, this is a mostly troll free forum with some good folks and excellent conversation!

I can understand why they moved the UK schedule up a week due to conflicts the week after, but I can't fathom why they couldn't move the US release up as well. It's not like it'd be taking us away from The Avengers, or something. Those who wanted to see it have already done so.

Cheers for the welcome @BugHunter. I'm particularly looking forward to reviving the age old argument between me and my bro over which is better, Alien or Aliens. Needless to say it is OF COURSE Alien, my bro is just an uncultured swine that needs explosions to have a good time ;-) I'm probably going to see Prometheus a couple days later as my wife wants to see it too, but needs me to vet it for her as she thinks it looks too scary for her haha. It will be interesting to see the difference between IMAX and standard screen. I saw Avatar at both (crap film ultimately but visually gorgeous) and have to say I much preferred it in standard screen. The 3D seemed to work a lot better for me personally too. PS - don't worry I won't be posting any spoilers at all until it comes out stateside. I've been trying to avoid all spoilers myself too. Haven't watched anything since the full length trailer.
