None of the reviews so far have mentioned the flashback or dream of Shaw as a child. Maybe this means it's not that important?

I considered this too, you'd think it was something important seeing that Patrick Wilson is supposed to have a decent role in this

@Redleader From what I have read it's not what you think... it's not a camera recording the past. I won't spoil it, but then again it's nothing major whatsoever.

It's in the movie, and the scene basically is used to show a little of the personnality of Shaw and another character indirectly.
