Creepiest Part of the Film

For me the creepiest moment was when the alien head exploded for no reason other than to have an exploding head with cheap horror eyeball effects, and I began to suspect that the careful story development up until that point was going to be sacrificed for a load of derivative horror drivel.
The next creepy moment was when the lost scientists dropped all pretence of being real characters and became farcical rude mechanicals in the service of cheap screen effects. Because then I knew my suspicions were correct.

There are TWO lifeboats on the top of the ship. (look up the schematics of the ship, you'll see them and the brief shots of the outside of the ship).
Her dad was in the OTHER one. Quite a few things point to this... He can have a private conversation with David... Vickers is down a long corridor from them.
When Shaw gets to the door where Weyland is first seen out of stasis, it's a different door (look at number on door) to Vicker's door. And the interior is different.
It's confusing, because his MedPod is in Vickers quarters, but I think that the reason for this is simply because the writers were lazy, and wanted to make it easy for Shaw to get to the med pod, which would have been impossible if it was in Weyland's lifeboat.. which she doesn't even enter until AFTER she's done the cesarian, so she wouldn't even know he had one.

The only good horror scene done well in this film was the C-section bit. Especially where Shaw has to slide under the damn thing to get out.
The other 'fright moments' can be seen coming a mile off, and are marred by the 'why did those idiots do THAT' facepalm moments.
Milburn and Fifield - stupid deaths.
Three nameless dudes killed by zombie Fifield... another facepalm... instead of thinking, "this is scary" I was thinking "why would someone open a door, when the camera shows a human in an impossible crumpled position is on the other side? "
Holloways death was corny.... at least they didn't make it a more obvious echo of Aliens by having him say "k-k-kill m-me" and there's something not all that creepy about using a flamethrower on a sunny day as opposed to in a dark tunnel.
Weyland, jackson and Dr. Ford... beaten to death by an Engineer. Why on earth did they think he'd be happy to see them? Here's a big aggressive extra -terrestial, who is sleeping in anticipation of a mission to wipe out every human on earth, and instead, their android creation wakes him up and starts talking to him like it's some kind of 'know your neighbor meeting'.
