The movie lacks some quotes from the trailer ...so i suppose there will be an extended version that will add alot of depth expecially regarding the development of character ..but i dont expect great new things there , absolutely not .

Ridley said that the version from the theatres is the director's cut. It's in the same review where he says the movie is 157 minutes long (without credits)
Have you heard of phoenix asteroids?
They glow in every color of the rainbow...they travel endlessly through space...

Ridley Scott said the Theatrical version will be the "Director's cut". Fans should stop fantasizing with the idea that a director cut can solve all the problems of any given film. At this point of his career, Ridley Scott has the power to even override the Studio's directives, so whatever is on that Theatrical version will be that he wanted and could achieve for this project.

I appreciate Arkadine's point. A director's cut doens't solve the problems of a movie.

Agree... But it could add so much Like in Alien or Blade Runner. The new scenes brought some insight in my humble opinion.

Scott never said Prometheus will be "157" minutes long.... Some people are so disappointed from their own mistakes.... He did say it'll be 119 without credits.... At the French interview a while back

You guys are hilarious!
What? Are you not content with the movie that you got?
This is so funny! "No! That CAN'T be everything!"

@Nateblitz Sorry, my mistake...it's an hour and 57 minutes...

http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplaylist/ridley-scott-admits-he-cut-prometheus-for-ratings-but-says-there-wont-be-a-directors-cut-on-dvd-20120604 it was suppose to be longer but in the end it always comes down to money ... it should have been an 18 rated movie, he will do a blade runner and release the ultimate cut in like 20yrs ffs
