Any spoilers posted will be removed (the entire post).[/size] -----------------------------------------------------------------THAT FILM WAS A MASTERPIECE, JUST A FUCKING GREAT MOVIE!! PEOPLE SAYING IT WASN'T GOOD HAVE NO IDEA (obviously entitled to their own opinion but im just buzzing) - it has a breathtaking story, special effects that are mindblowing and acting that chills you to the bone!! great movie!! WHAT A RETURN FOR SIR RIDLEY TO THIS GENRE!!!! My overall rating for the film is 5/5! Truly breathtaking, you kind of gotta concentrate but that's the whole fun of this movie experience! ALL AMERICANS SHOULD BE LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS MOVIE!!! SO HAPPY I WENT TO SEE IT!!!! (as you can probably tell!!!)

I have still yet to decide where I would rate it alongside the originals. maybe.. Alien - 1stplace Aliens 2nd place alien 3 & prometheus - 3rd place. alien ressurection - fan-fiction, not alien canon AvP - great idea for a game.

You know what......im going back to see it again. Cant wait for the BluRay. And centurian......no way man.......Prometheus belongs at the begining. Although i realise your rating it amongst the Alien movies... To me....now at least all the other Alien movies are like comic books......for me its>>> 1 Prometheus 2 Alien 3 Prometheus II lol

i've seen it twice. i was very disappointed first time, second time i knew what to expect and could enjoy the good bits.

@centaurian_slug I hope it's the same for me.....seeing it again tomorrow. So far...really disappointed at the missed opportunities in amongst some glorious visuals (loved David8 though)

Hi Xeno Jockey I loved this film too. Loved all the connections to Alien and how Sir Ridley Scott has started the process of linking the two films. Ridley Scott really thought about the minutiae too, small logos. My friend also noted lots of symbolic horseshoe shapes built into the ship's design. I loved the soundtrack too. Ridley did not disappoint for me - he has given me lots to think about. My husband and I were debating whether the cave paintings could have been a trap rather than an invitation or a warning (an off the wall suggestion, I know) but it's made me think about all the possibilities - I mean what if humans WERE made only because somebody could ..?!! (sorry if I have caused any offence to anyone's religious beliefs).
