My thoughts on Prometheus (spoiler-free)

Any spoilers posted will be removed (the entire post).[/size] -----------------------------------------------------------------Saw Prometheus last night, was good but don't think it could ever have lived up to my expectations. The story was compelling and intelligent which is always a good start and the characterisation of the main cast was outstanding.The banter and interplay between all 3 of the Prometheus's pilots and Milburn ,Fifield and Janek was inspired and grounded it very much for me. However the films main failings from my point of view were the the rather rushed feeling to the outbreak of all the chaos.A movie trying to tell a story of this magnatude and depth would need a longer running time or have been made in two parts. I also went expecting it to be much darker and horrific after seeing all the trailers and found it to be only slightly more stomuch churning than a Disney film (slight exageration there).Hope this cut is what Sir Ridders was describing as his dark version and that his so called darkest version makes it way to the DVD/Blu-ray release.
