Well don't be dissapointed if they do turn out to be made let's see what the Riddler has in store for us! I know it will scare the living shit out of us!

I doubt its a species from a planet, or possibly could be and the DNA tinkered with and changed. would like to see how they actually come about and to what length the Sjs tech is in terms of life creating or is it just manipulating whats already there and they go a step too far..

I wouldn't see it as a let-down.
If you would, wth BIG hints all over the place in what we've seen, that everything is about everything else being changed....I'd say you'd better get ready.

For me, the Aliens species would require an extreme environment to be able to evolve to their current state. I for one would not step foot on such a planet or send any probes what so ever; why you ask... in order to have a balance Eco-system, the aliens would need something to keep them in check. What that would be is immaterial, the raw fact that something worse than the aliens existing anywhere sends chills down my spin. Really like this thread, thanks ash'sbishop.

Interesting - I have always seen the Alien as a genetically engineered organism, because nature would never create something so destructive. Like HIV and cancer is believed to be the result of genetic or genetic tampering.

Ridley himself says in the DVD commentary for 'Alien' that the creature is a product of the SpaceJockey civilization....in his exact words....a kind of 'bacterilogical stroke, biomechanoid warfare'.......the xeno has ALWAYS been a bio-weapon of unique nature and origin....

Yeah, from the beginning, he's consistently said the "Derelict" was a bomber loaded with weapons. Xenos have always been something produced by the Sjs.

Visualizer, I think in nature and everything there is always something that could be more destructive than the last. Man can hunt and kill Tigers with the help of guns etc but likewise a tiger can easily kill a man, its all how you evolve to meet the threats.Same thing would apply to the xenos on their homeplanet, someother predator species (not that one) could prey on the Xenos explaining their acidic blood.

"sounds more like Ewoks"
To be fair, Ewoks are pretty terrifying. Especially when you consider that they are going to eat all the imperial troops who died on Endor. Nasty, creepy, little dead-eyed, cannibal bastards.
