Haters are gonna hate.

I saw Prometheus, and i can understand that people are disappointed, depending on expectations. I also think there could have been made much more out of it, especially the characters are very flat and there are many scenes that seem senseless. So leave Alien/Prometheus Universe and come back to normal life, or change your mind to be able to enjoy it "as is" and follow the evolution of the story in the upcoming sequels to prometheus. :-)

I think someone should create new movie and show only xenomorphs running around the planet and mix with predator style human hunters, it seems people are not interested in SJ and other plots that could be explored here. All they want is slow movie like alien which is less scary and also xenomorphs killing spree.

I don't think you understand how a script works or how good drama is written. Just because it is not what YOU wanted, does not mean it is an inferior film. It is a solid addition to the sci fi genre, and your opinion is wasted.

The last thing I wanted was more Xenomorphs (so why did we get the thing at thend?!). Anyway, I was very interested in the ideas RS had about the SJ. it was an interesting idea to explore that. But above all I wanted a fantastic Sci-Fi film befitting of Scott's pedigree. Unfortunately we didn't get that.

My mind is still blasted to pieces after seeing it yesterday. Even my wife LOVES it. If only I didn't know so much about it beforehand. It was a real adventure - a voyage of discovery. I loved them going on and off the ship to explore - because I wanted to see more - learn more. The characters were [b]not[/b] as 'flat' and undeveloped as has been said. Holloway - possibly is a bit dull. Boring. They did need more screen time though - there was definitely more that they could do. Let's hope the BluRay adds lots of scenes back in. My biggest criticsism would be it's subtlety. Much like the original film, Ridley has held back quite a bit from showing too much. As the hours go by, I think of more and more questions. It is not expectations or hating thing or seeking slow going movie or Xenos. Prometheus is not a good fast going film also. It is very sloppy about telling story fast. I like Prometheus not i like AVP but it is not a real matured film. A lot of thing which discussed correctly before in forum prevented it to be well cooked. DL side permitted by RS insults film. Movie is not ruined but in watch and go status. it means one side is magnificent but one side is visually good-sloppy telling space adventure. So this is why AVP minded people love it. It has very strong things but also has very wasted strong things which smashes the good ones unfortunately. And some brilliant things of movie which deserves respect makes people blinds so gets critics hate or love. Some people can get in a moment what is good baked scifi or other genres as Kubrick, Cameron, Scott or any director tells a story correctly did before. But people who has no real opinions about clearly revealing huge flaws of movie can only say your opinion wasted and can't get the differences between well cooked and uncooked things. And i think like who has a hope about doing additional things can save the movie. hope in D.C. version RS cuts irrelevant things and reshapes movie.

Yeah thought the script needed to be re-developed, Its shame as the look/sets/effects in the film were mostly well done (the landscapes, the alien interiors/promethius itself) , the actors were good and the ideas in the film were thought provoking

@ Grooveraider... whats with the 'hates gonna hate' comment? this review was dead on... the movie was boring, not scary, and a total waste of millions of dollars that went into making it. that makes us "haters"? sounds like the only one hatin' is you. hatin' the fact we hated it ;) grow up and deal with it.
