you know what, I had seen that part too and couldn't help but think the same. I don't think they used comics as reference though, but I could see that if we had a creator like the engineers they would be angry that we tried to imitate their creation, it would be like mocking them just an idea

Maybe we are the "gods" and they are the "titans," in a sense. I think this was hinted in the TED talk, when weyland said "We are the the [b]gods[/b] now."

Svanya, Mr Yutani we are supposed to be like the engineers Humans get very emotional about the whole cloning and playing god thing so I totally think the engineers are thinking androids are clones (or rather improper attempts at being god) I can't help but think the engineers think of themselves as actual gods. That or they think they are the exclusive servants of god and they are not to be questioned nor imitated. I'd like them to explore this in a sequel or at the very least have DARK HORSE write a cool storyline/graphic novel about that topic.
