Wow. Almost afraid to reply, as someone will probably be offended... The primary difference is that per the Bible, Mary was not barren. She was also a virgin [i]when she became pregnant[/i]. That's why it is often referred to as Immaculate Conception. No Jedi Midiclorians or however you spell it... LOL Plenty of women have children after being told they probably can't. I have two daughters, and my wife was told the same thing. No fertility treatments, no medications. It just happens.

Plus, look at the way the "xeno" is depicted on the mural....resembles Jesus on the cross, as we know it. Could be that the xeno is thier story of Jesus, every religion or sect of people have one. (mostly)

TKFanboy421, That's also a brilliant observation - maybe the depictions of giants in those murals from ancient earth were humanity's invitation to 'follow that star'. Perhaps the jockeys had prophesied the birth of a Christlike being ( or even anti-Christlike ). Perhaps David knew more than he was letting on - recall, he mentioned he'd studied and reworked languages back to their root origins - that's how he was able to communicate with the Jockey. Btw, what language was he studying? The one where he was following the teaching of the holographic muslim gentleman. I didn't recognise that any middle eastern dialect, and it closely resembled the language he uttered to the Space jockey.

That just makes the fact that Shaw can't conceive (and then gives birth to cuddles) even more stupid. I wish they had removed the line where Shaw say's that she "can't create life". It made the whole birthing scene ultra tacky.
