June 06, 2012I always felt that LV 223 was a research post for some of the Engineers and that maybe others lived in other far further parts of the Galaxy.
Thus the other Engineers may not be aware of what those on LV 223 got upto...
I liken what they did, to say if we advance with our genetics and science and we indeed create a hybrid race of Apes, by genetically altering a Chimp and we create like creatures like the Planet of the Apes...
We then put these Apes to evolve on a Planet Far away......
Something bad happens on Earth and WW3 or 6 lol nearly ends all life.....
Only a handfull are alive in like 2000 years time.
Then all of a sudden those chimps we created turn up on Earth, they had evolved to a level we never thought they would, we could not go visit them to check on them because of some apocalyptic event that maybe means we dont have the Tech anymore....
How would we feel, that our creation comes to Earth in Larger numbers than our population, we would feel threatened by them....
Thats how i feel the Engineer reacted....
He was the last one, after some apocalyptic event 2000 years ago, and thus for him to travel to Earth to check on his creation well the Engineers, would be a wasted journey maybe....
So he would had been in shock that we found their outpost, knowing what secrets they had and that as the last Engineer and seeing Mankinds Evolution and ability to create its own life in their own image, the Engineer would had felt he has to stop Mankind.
But then the movie plot showed that it seems the Engineers was setting out to wipe us out many years ago, and maybe the outbreak and apocalyptic event 2000 years ago put their plans on hold...
