A Shipful Of Davids

One of my friends speculated, what if ALL the crew-members ( except for Weyland ) had been androids - but except for David, they just did not know it. Or even, what if all the crew members were different models of David - they would have done a darn sight better job than some of the human crew-members. And THAT would have been enough of a motivation for the Space Jockey to go nuts at the end - that humans have reached a point where they created and sent out their own creations to contact the 'gods'. In essence, 'We are the gods now' as Weyland stated in the TED Lecture. It would be more plausible to send out loyal, and dedicated Davids to fulfill Weyland's wishes...
