More ships?

When the Prometheus lands in the Nazca-esque Valley, behind the main pyramid, you can see numerous other similar edifices in the background. I suppose, by implication, there is a ship under each of those structures...

No idea how David knew,unless and again ridiculous speculation but we did not see what was said on that ship until David spoke to Shaw,the Engineer may have tried to contact others on the surface(David knows the language?) . I'd imagine all the ships were filled with the same stuff . The urns? who knows but again,that crossed my mind,depends on where they were sealed(Vickers came to mind here)

@Taz, You're right of course. Sadly that question can be asked of many of the characters in the movie about their knowledge of certain events throughout. i'd call that clumsy writing, as opposed to 'posing deep questions', which some people seem to think is the case...

David seemed to know everything including all the door codes So knowing about the other ships is only a small leap of faith in comparison. I assume he learned about the other ships when interacting with the Engineers ships computer.

@PMI agree on the clumsy writing,but there is a side of David the director does not want us to see of him,this bit where he knows more than he lets on. Fassbenders interview on this is quite interesting,he is the most honest of the cast.

David knows everything. It was David who suggested we would all like to destroy our makers, so perhaps this was David's plan from the start. David was also the one who suggested that the SJs were planning to destroy earth. Was this true? Only David could speak the lingo so god knows what he actually told the engineer. Perhaps David insulted its mother. Jokes aside, more food for thought. First time I have ever written to a discussion forum, so the movie has clearly had an impact on me. Cheers. Mike

He either learned about it during the orrery hologram, or he know a lot more than he gave up. Hence he knew to slip Holloway the spiked drink

he studied the whole time about everything during the 2 year trip and don't forget he is not a human. So he surely can learn very fast through analyzing. The Prometheus team went only to the first temple with 1 Engineer vessel. As there were at least 2 more temples behind, I suppose each temple has a vessel too. Indeed Shaw might travel with a time bomb as I suppose that all Engineer vessels carry that black goo or else. But I think this time she stays away from those storage rooms ^^
