Engineers killed by Hammerpedes..or something else..?

I actually think it was a virus after much deliberation.....remember theres a gooey substance covering everything. I dont mean the black goo.......david runs his finger across a wall or something and theres a sticky film on it.

The ooz only starts to spill out of the ampules once the crew set them off on entering the ampule room, the sticky stuff on the walls is distinctly diff to the black ooz the texture and also seems to have some kind of electrical charge or nano tech goin off when david rubs it in his fingers. The worms are earth worms u see this when the crew step inside the room below their feet which then get covered in black ooz and mutate into the hammerpedecobralien. The crew didnt bring them, not the prometheus crew anyway. the engineer bodies have holes in the chest and head area, its not explained by what or how and neither do you see what came out...its one of the MANY Qs ur left scratching your head over...
