When the Space Jockey turret first is coming up from the sub-room, that room itself was slightly illuminated enough and it looked like the same room or same 'styled' room(I know it's not the same ship) where Kane, Dallas, and Lambert investigated before Kane descended below to find the eggs. That's what it looked like, but I have to see it again to be sure. Did anybody catch that?

Are you kidding me? How did you spot that? It just looked black to me, and the base of the turret came up with it. If it was the case, then it would explain why there's no pods or hologram control chair on the platform discovered by where the Nostromo away team but wasn't the turret pointing straight up before it elevated? And it comes up without someone in it. This could be a teaser of just a sign that floors look the same. I hear that the script writer, who did Lost, likes to mess with peoples heads, so perhaps this is a red herring, assuming you saw what you think you saw.

That's what I believe I saw. I went to the AMC IMAX 3D and they used crystal clear DLP. That's what it looked like to me. I have to see it again to be sure.

Viva, I just saw it @ AMC's Lincoln Sq. IMAX as well, and you're right on. The screen was so clear! The subroom that you mentioned is the EXACT one from Alien. Alien takes place right after this when Nostromo gets the signal that it thinks is an SOS being sent from the planet. When Nostromo arrives on the planet, you clearly see the same wrecked spaceship that Prometheus crashed into. It's the Engineer's spaceship that Kane, Dallas & Lambett go into. Then towards the end if you recall, Ripley breaks the code that the transmission wasn't an SOS but, a WARNING! The warning that Shaw leaves at the end saying there is nothing but, death there.

no way, the planet is not the same, hence the ship and SJ are not the same. But they had more ships, probably all designed the same way. This has been explained several times on this forum

The ship on LV426 has been there for 1000's of years as Dallas states and this movie is on a different planet. So it can't be the same ship,

I actually agree it's not the same ship, but the sub-room does look like the same sub-flooring design as in ALIEN where Kane, Lambert, and Dallas investigate. I saw it again this morning at the Matinee showing. It looks smoother, but it has the same look. The only question for me would, how would the Space Jockey descend below if it's dead in the chair. Maybe the chair senses no life and descends? Don't know.
