5th Viewing: Ridley bugs me a little

I actually really do like the movie, the music, and design. A couple of sloppy edits and writing I could do without. I have a hard time believing RS could be sloppy in a couple of scenes: During the Fifield melee when the Fifield monster is attacking the second victim, Jackson and a mercenary come out shooting. The camera turns away to Fifield getting hit, then it's Janek and Chance that are coming through the door with flamethrowers. WTF is that all about? After that, we see Shaw running into Weyland's quarters and Jackson and the mercenary are in the room in white orderlies outfits, calm as if nothing had happened. So, does Jackson and his merc take a couple of shots and quickly run inside??? Like I said though, I actually do like the movie a lot. There's a bunch of references to ALIEN, which is why I keep going back. I do especially like the score. It's a high tech 70's movie. It's triumph and horror. ALIEN was the opposite: horror and triumph. That's how I see it, because how it felt when I saw ALIEN in the theaters. I hope blu-ray though, will clear up some of this stuff. I also have a 70inch screen and 7.1 channels that will be itching for this to get some play time. If this is a duplicated thread, I apologize. I did use the search engine and nothing showed up.
