I know this post should probably go on another forum but here goes... Are Xeno's capable of the emotion of fear? I remember the scene in Alien Resurrection where the alien is in the confinement room and Brad Douriff's character stops the Xeno dead in it's tracks by placing his hand over the big red button that controlled the freezing gas (I presume it was ultra-cold nitrogen). Was the reaction by the Xeno associated with the feeling of emotion? Thanks.

I think the xenos inherit instinct/inteligence from their host. With your example and in Aliens when Ripley threatened the eggs of the queen with a flame thrower she called off her soldiers.Maybe though its more of a survival instinct than one of fear.

As worker drones, I doubt it. Colonial insects here on Earth show no concern for their own well-being when protecting the colony or Queen, and they're obviously modeled on that (the facehuggers obviously don't care, since they die as soon as they implant). The Queen herself is probably more concerned about self-preservation, though.
