Is PROMETHEUS 2 coming next year or 2014?

@Danial92 - Prometheus 2 is coming out in 2013.

The DVD/Bluray comes out 2 days prior Comic Con...I can see this has all been planned and with Comic Con, the biggest Comic Con on the East Coast...so, I imagine something will be said or seen...since I no longer live in NY, my bro will be going and taking pictures for me and doing video.

I am betting and from past experience working as an Editor, he has footage already, not much, but enough to make a trailer, a teaser one...after all, he had a lot of time in production and did shoot a lot of footage.

Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if they already shot the trailer for Prometheus 2.

Just to add some thoughts on a possible Prometheus 2... Shooting for Prometheus took nearly 9 months (from March 2011 to December 2011) , thats more than 3 times longer than the "other 3D" film took to film (to compare like for like). LOTR Trilogy took 14 months (not including pick up shots) and that was for 3 3 hour films, you can make arguments against all this of course, Stanley Kubrick being one ;-) If it turned out that Ridley had filmed another movie at the time that would be the most amazing sleight of hand a film maker has pulled I think.

I agree and I hope it is the sequel. Something big is up! The Blu-Ray, a trailer...seems like to put a date at the end of the movie like that would mean something bigger IMHO. Interesting that "Right" noted the shoot times. Compelling information that would back the thinking a second was made during this time. One thing I can't reconcile is the studio agreeing to this, though. Yes, it is RS and if anyone deserves to be given this confidence by a studio to do this it would be him...but alot of money is/was on the line...what if Prometheus had tanked (I am assuming right now it will at least break even and be relatively successful)? However, I am thinking for 130 million he could have done 2 movies.

It could have been filmed as one film entirely...and then edited down into 2 films...3 months= a ton of shooting footage.

wellllll for what it's worth: while looking at the weyland industries website, I found their "corporate timeline", and it shows that Weyland Industries was incorporated on 10-11-12... no idea how this fits in, just thought i'd throw it out there ;) [img]http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj75/ladon76/101112.png[/img]
