From what I have seen in the trailer I am under the belief that Holloway will play a big part. Holloway is Shaw's love interest by what we see in the trailer, they love each other, I'm guessing. We see in the trailer, something infects Holloway, possibly that serpent creature getting into his suit and him screaming in pain, "Get it out!". Somehow the Alien infects him and he changes, slowly, like Kane in Alien, all seems okay but as we have seen, he is changing and keeping it to himself and Shaw. He sleeps with Shaw, thus passing something from hi, Alien into her. Later in the film, Holloway is no where to be seen, in the bowels of the ship, his transformation taking full effect, later as we also see by the trailer, Shaw is confronted by a Humanoid figure, this being her love, Holloway, whose Humanity is or has been stripped away by the morph, yet, there is some part of him left...
He does not kill her, taking one last stand against the transformation, takes over the derelict, another I suppose, by killing another SJ, he gets infected, face hugger, yet before his demise, he crashes the ship, the chest burster coming out of him....thus Holloway's last act of Humanity and his love for Shaw, saving her and earth from those that seek to destroy it.
I would think in this Shaw's emotional level is deep and to watch the person she love and trusted change is something that will try Shaw, who knows, maybe Holloway, like Dallas in Alien wants Shaw to kill him, because the pain of the change is unbearable but this is what I am thinking....

MemberOvomorphMar-20-2012 7:48 PMNice theory. It would make the idea of an infected SJ more plausible, IMO.
As this story seems to show omnipotent engineers, I have a hard time grasping them being infected by their own weapons. Especially if they are headed for Earth...

Safe? Of course he isn't safe, but he's good!

MemberOvomorphMar-20-2012 7:55 PMI would think if it Holloway, he is still trying to fight the urges but as Myrddin stated, what ever the Jockey's have is dangerous, even to them....

MemberOvomorphMar-20-2012 9:44 PMI think it's obvious now, that the Prometheus craft crashes into the Derelict.
Maybe Holloway, in a last act, would rather destroy Earth himself, rather than have the Weyland Corporation get possesion and usage of their new found power.
Thus Shaw knowing the intended mission of the Derelict, and the eventual "ramming-speed" mission of Janek.
