Just saw it for the 3rd time! How many times have you been?

Twice but I've come damn close to going 2 more times. Going again tomorrow afternoon though and supposed to go again Friday night. It's gonna suck when it gets booted off IMAX screens for newer movies.

I saw it twice in one day, 3 hours apart. I'm going twice more this weekend. Does that count?

"Is it dead this time?" "I dunno, poke it with this stick and see."

I think it gets better with more viewings...less expectations, noticing more details, I dunno

The twice in one day counts lol. I saw it at 12:01 then again at 1:15pm so I saw it twice in one day as well. That should count as 1 extra viewing imo.
Really though we all need to go see it as many times as possible. Lets make them sorry they ever questioned that the film would make enough money for a sequel!
I think my 2nd viewing was too soon. It was all still too fresh in my mind. It needs to settle a bit before you see it again. At least imo.

Cypher:
I am a population geneticist (by education). I know many biologists that i studied with. I watched the movie with 2 ethologists. Before the movie the actually joked that if the expedition included a biologist he would die first because of curiosity. They started laughing knowingly when Milburn met the snake. I know a marine biologist who saw a tigershark from a boat off thailand ....suited up with wetsuit and tanks and all and dived inn and started clicking with his divingknife on his divingwatch to attract it so he could get a better look.
LordSoth;
I find that high art demands alot more than brainless entertainment and is alot more rewarding. One can like Def Leppars 'Hysteria' upon first listening....it takes time to get really into Neil Youngs 'sleeps with angels' but it is alot more rewarding than 'hysteria'.

I gotchayall beat fer shnizz.... I done seen it 7 times so far .... Goin back tonight tu see it in the IMAX...... That frickin hammerpede is the cutest thing I've ever seen!!!!
I got this funny feeling though...there might be more goin on then yall might think.
My theory is its tied to those alien movies somehow!!! I know it sounds crazy but it really reminds me a lot of the wizard of oz too but I don't think it's tied into that one.

5 times so far. Yes, I see new things every time I watch it. The last time, I noticed Chance and Ravel have more subtle expressions on their faces in the final scenes than I noticed other viewings. The pictograms are in 3d, there are multiple languages (small side-bars) that are shown in David's "training", Shaw's expression right after the head explodes is interesting, Vicker's 'presence' in the first scenes (push ups) is also interesting, etc etc etc. Shaws facial expressions in particular, I keep seeing things I missed before. David too. Holloway as well for that matter.
Still trying to find out why Jackson doesn't get in the credits except as "Mercenary 1" or whatever. He has several lines.
When it hits the second run theatre I will see it probably another time at least.
