Where are the others ?

in that scene where David actiavtes the hologram in the tunnels, where we see those Engineers flee from something and eventually find the decapitated Engineer, one thing I miss: You see that three or four Engineers run into that room, the last(less fortunate one), after struggling, falls down and is decapitated by the door. So far, its ok, they went to that room searching for a safe place obviously, and the room has a different climate, so the head gets preserved, and only after the humans enter the room, the atmosphere changes and the urns start to bleed black goo. BUT: where are the other Engineers that made it into the room BEFORE the door came down and decapitated the last one ?

Behind the "xeno" mural? Holloway says something like, "this is just another tomb", so perhaps it's a door that they never try to open. Ford and Shaw are busy with the head and David is busy with an urn, then they have to jet because the storm is coming.

Hmm, I was personally confused by the transition from THE TEMPLE to THE DERELICT (or rather not so derelict). Very odd, couldn't work out if HEAD was in battleship or not.
The others? Well several of them made it into CRYO, right? Around the Orrery? One of them did, certainly.
Also, there were more than a dozen of them stacked Auschwitz-gas-chamber-like in one part of the passageways. What was THAT all about?
And another million zillion questions...

Free Planet , there's a long corridor that leads to a door (the one that the pup probe was waiting at. )
This door leads directly to the bridge of the Juggernaut, like a jet way from a terminal to a plane. Everything else you see is part of the Dome.
I think the ones you see piled up and the ones who ran into the temple are the same ones. When Fifiled and Milburn walk away from the pile of bodies, they seem to have walked in a circle. The door with the bodies seems to be the reverse of the door with the engraved Xenomorph thing.
When they are at the pile of bodies they did say they were 'near where Shaw found her head'.

I would assume that the other Engineers never made it.
Maybe some of them got onto a ship that ended up on LV 426....
I doubt that another ship left LV 223 and made it to their homeworld, because surely the home world would have sent out another clean up operation and if they also wanted to wipe out Earth, then the other Engineers from the homeworld would also had then gone to Earth and wiped us out.....
Thats why i am on the side that when Shaw and if she finds the home world that the Engineers on that homeworld will maybe not have any idea of the events that went down on Lv223 or about Earth.... and if they did know about those events then they would have thought that Earth had been delt with or changed their mind and felt we was no longer worth the bother.
I feel that some of the Engineers on LV 223 went rogue and wanted to wipe the others out or that they wanted to wipe out Earth or/and create the Xeno and the others stood in their way or did not agree with it.
And so their was a dispute between them....
We dont know maybe the last Engineer is the one we need to thank for Earth not being attacked....
But after he finds mankind on his doorstep and understands as the last Engineer he is the one left who stands in the way of mankind getting access to the secrets of the Urns and thus cant let us get hold of the Engineers Fire.
And who knows maybe David said something to upset him so as to get him to turn on the humans, maybe David told them they are here to learn and take the Engineers/Gods secrets..
Or maybe David just told him what Weyland wants and thats to learn all the Engineers secrets and for the Engineer to make him Imortal...

Further more...
Thus the Engineer may not have been as Malevolent....
Imagine if some scientists mess about with DNA and try to make hybrids and maybe using a Cat, Ape and Guinea Pig they create a Mogwai.
The perfect pet..... however we know that Mogwai can lead to the creation of Gremlins and thus their creation indeed proves too much of a threat...
The scientists aim would be to then kill off all Mogwai not because they want to, but because they have to because of the consequences of not doing so.
Thus the Engineer can not have Mankind optain and be in controll of the Substance and other Technology of the Engineers, because of the consequences that would happen in doing so.
He would know that he was but one, while mankind has many and simply killing all the crew would not guarantee that mankind would not in future send another mission to LV 223.
He simply maybe never thought Mankind would ever advance to a level to reach their outpost and finding out that we had, and that mankind is a race who desires power and would want to become Gods themselves left him with no choice...
