director Ridley Scott had suggested that more footage may end up being put back into the film at a later point. Chatting to Collider, he's expanded on this slightly, revealing that there's a wealth of material heading to the DVD and Blu-ray later in the year. "This is fundamentally the director’s cut", he confirmed of the cinematic release. "But there will be half an hour of stuff on the menu [of the disc release] because people are so into films - how they’re made, how they’re set up, and the rejections in it. That’s why it’s fascinating. So this will all go on to the menu." Specifically, Scott revealed, there's a fight scene between Noomi Rapace's character and one of the Engineers that we'll be seeing on the disc. But also, when asked how much longer an extended cut for the disc release would be, he replied "20 minutes".

nice.. I hope ( but doubt) Scott will fix some of the holes in Prometheus because there are too many..it will be just some more nice goodies and thats it probably..

I think what we will see is some gore that was cut out... Fifields attack was rushed, maybe there was more to it but wa too gruesome for the movie to make the cut for Under 18's There was the Engineer standing over Shaw scene in trailers and the leaked image of him grabbing Shaw via the Throat and raising her off the ground in Vickers Quaters on the Lifeboat... this goes with the Art books story board and so they must have shot a extended version of the Shaw/Engineer fight scene, i think this would be added. Also the art book showed the Sacrefice Engineer with a Elder Engineer, and now today a leak of a actual image from the movie of the Elder Engineer with the Sacrefice one, with the interview a while back by the Sacrefice Engineers actor who said he did a scene where he was nearly naked and had to drink some thing and he also said he had to make some dialog in Alien Tongue... well that Engineer in the movie did not talk.... But seeing the new Engineer Elder image, it does seem that he and the Sacrefice Engineer have some dialog before the Sacrefice Engineer goes off to the Water Fall to perform a ritual sacrefice. So again i think this would make it to the extended cut....
