“Crew Expendable”

Actually, Prometheus was a rather complex example of a chain reaction of events that would echo for hundreds and maybe thousands of years in human / alien history. Yes they are Bio-Weapons, but also much more. With mankind's increasing presence in the Cosmos (Alien Universe) we must be kept in check. The Alien species provides a stabilizing effect on man's extreme aggression and his ability to consume every resource within reach. As man expands into the dark unknown, he will face the nightmare of childhood. This is the concept and underlying force that make "Alien" … so alien. In the real world we may never come face to face with these events, but think if we did… I do not think we would survive the contact… and that is the most fun thought I always have when I dream about those monsters... Sci Fi is such a great medium for speculation and a beautiful canvas for some of our nightmares too... My thoughts about David 8 transcends the mere idea that he is slaved to Weyland’s agenda… But as such an advance artificial person, he quickly understands the purpose and scope of the Doctor’s discovery… When every he analyzes something (green ooze/urns that begin to activate upon touch) new ideas and theories emerge for him… He knows what the black ooze is, (read the Weyland bio information on David 8’s capabilities) and quickly formulates an experiment… “Crew Expendable.” The rest as they say is history… the creation of our demise… "a chat room conversation"
