Here's a geologist who is bored, then blurts out..I want to go back to the ship in the middle of the one of the greatest adventures ever known..If they were just in a cave...a geologist would go nuts exploring it. Here they are in a obviosly hand made on purpose structure 2 years hyper space asleep away from earth and another guys says..I think I will go with him...Who picked these guys anyway? We needed everyone searching out the mystery non-stop. We would have had more answers to chew on....

BTW..I checked out your link...thank you and I found it interesting but didnt agree with all the answers..Please allow me to re-state my post point We both agree to go see a long awaited movie. We pay, enter and get our snacks..then, one guy says, I will wait for you in the lobby and see you after the movie..WHAT?

Are you implying that Weyland is the guy that wants to wait outside? If so, why he stays in cryo for most of the mission is also explained in the thread. I'm glad you found it interesting. I understand that people aren't going to agree with some of the answers just like some don't agree that some are "plot holes." I just love the fact that we can discuss it and insert our own ideas. Very interactive.

Engineering...No..I am saying my post point..these guys go on the greatest mission ever knonw and two guys want to go wait in the ship (lobby) in my example....Engineering...you and I would be all over those labs and pyramids and once David helped us understand the spaceship controls...we would be joy riding..YES? HH...okay, it could have been fear behind the boredom. On the smoke in the unit, marijuna? Look, here are rocks on another planet isndie a man made structure with writing all over it...gelogist has pelnty to do and should get to doing it...someone with authority needed to tell this guy to get to work right now and then give him an assignment.
