SHAW TELLS EVERYONE...WE WERE SO WRONG

She was wrong in that she thought these beings would be peacful and benevolent creators. She is a religious person who believed that our creators love their creation.

Ahhhh..consider the WE part and she is telling this to the old man David and others....I will say this...the cave paitntings dont say why to come.,..they just say come...you can read that anyway you want..the venus fly trap says come all day long to flys and they do

Shaw could also be saying they were wrong in terms of it being an invitation. The pictograms could be saying "stay far, far away from this place" as in a warning.

SIn simple terms she is just saying that what they came to find was not what they thought they would find.

Yes because she said afterwords... This place is not what i thought it would be. Basically she hopped to find our creators and hoped they would welcome us, but instead they stumbled upon what is most likely a Bio Weapons Testing, Production and Storage Facility and the revelation that they attempted to wipe out or re-engineer mankind 2000 years ago before it went wrong for them.

Engineering...be gentle with Bluesfool.lol...I will say this, she should have been open to what to find and not some picture in her own mind...Scientists remain open and act on methodical procedures...she wants answers without having to seek them out.... BigDave...is spot on...So, did the cave drawings say stay away? Then why even put them down? Its not like we would run into this planet and star system by acceidnt anytime soon. David was right when he said...how would you feel if your creator answered...Becasue we could as the reason why they created you. It lacks purpose and depth....

In the movie, all of the civilizations that they find the pictogram of a giant being and five stars are long gone and ended. For each and every one of those civilizations to be centuries apart, could we safely assume that they met their demise in some form or fashion, since civilizations don’t just end if some of their people remain. Therefore, wouldn’t it make perfect sense to entertain the idea that those civilizations were quite possibly ended by the giant beings from the five stars? For them to be hostile towards the humans upon contact, as the engineer was, and for David to plainly state “sometimes to create, one must first destroy”, the theory, in my opinion seems to be sound. If you would humor me, could we please discuss this possibility? ** I actually created a thread titled "Sometimes, In Oder To Create, You Must First Destroy" as my thought feels like it could be it's own discussion rather than just a simple comment. I actually stand corrected about my theory, since many of the quoted civilizations did not just disappear, they somewhat evolved or migrated. But in the same sense, how would they all know to warn others to stay away if they didn't somehow receive knowledge about this being a bad place or having experienced hostility by the engineers over time? Especially if it was physically and factually proven that these civilizations had no interaction with each other as they were centuries or continents apart?

spe3dst3r...whew on the name here...Perhaps these engineers just got into it with everyone while here in a harrasing way. People put drawings out about it...Are they worshipping? Is it forced? Is it a warning? How about the engineers dont even know these people made drawings about them? Maybe they saw the holographic show and just reported that ? Also, you get the impresion that when visting, the engineers just monitor the ones where ever they land...they dont go back to the same place twice perhaps?

I guess if the world's not a giant radioactive plume or a desolate wasteland, then everything may be implied as all is well. But on that note, why would the Engineers want to destroy us? And you're other points were very good ones as well. More questions being raised by questions are always a great thing for further discussion too.
