First of all, I´m very glad to come back here after almost a month of agony when I decided not to lurk here anymore.........well not entirely true because it was impossible to resist the artwork gallery that was released in the last 2 or 3 weeks. Before I submit my own very personal point of view just let me say that I'm not a critic, film student, script writer or anything related with the movie business; whether is hollywood or "indie". I'm just happen to be a sci fi fan since I was probably 4 or 5 yrs old, and now a family guy near my 40's. That being said I would like to point out that I prefer to leave my possible "issues" with script, characters, creatures, editing, etc. to the dislike area. Here I'm focusing on what did I love from this movie. Also I have a question for you guys as well, are you definitely sure that either looking into this website for trailers, interviews, photos, etc was good for your experience at the cinema or do you wish to never have looked inside besides the first trailer....maybe the second. I am not sure, still thinking about it. I'll have to leave with this question and make a 2d post for the actual review because I have to leave right now for an emergency but I´ll come back soon

Since I had 0 replies to this, I´m still putting my own personal point of view anyway............yesterday I tried to put my first thoughts here but I had to refresh the whole thing and lost it. The things that I loved: 1.- opening sequence.- majestic combination of soundtrack, photography, use of 3d, engineer sacrifice fx, the DNA description right to the main title. 2.- David sequence.- from the ship speeding through the galaxy, to all of David's routine and interest of Shaw's dreams and thoughts, it points out that he is the major character ( same importance as a classic villain, but without being one ). 3.- Michael Fassbender.- the best performance of an android, amusing, entertaining, sinister, can't hate him..... my own personal favorite makes me forget about Ash, Bishop and Blade runner replicants. 4.- Charlize Theron......just seeing her is a trip. 5.- The whole ambience of the planet, the corridors, the ampule room, the murals and the xenomorph sculpture...haunting. 6.- Again my own personal point of view.....good rythm and pacing, even if people are complaining about editing, pltoholes, whatever...... I never get bored, kept me interested and wanting more

7.- The starmap room scene....incredible in IMAX 3d... it worked so good that I forgot I was wearing the glasses.....enjoyed it like a child. 8.- The whole MED POD scene, specially when Shaw discovers that she can't do a C-section because the thing was intended for Weyland. 9.- Amazing seeing the Juggernaut ship taking off and the Engineer getting his bio suit. 10.- The engineer impregation scene, including the trilobyte and the new alien, what a breath of fresh air to the alien design. I don't want to make any enemies here but I differ from the people that didn't get the purpose of the movie.......... it wants to make you want more..........like a drug, so Mr Ridley, mission accomplished, totally expect at least 2 more of these. If I can describe it in 2 words they would be...........beautiful and scientific.
